Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to be scheduled...
This is a group therapy program for people who have had previous episodes of depression and want to decrease the likelihood of future episodes through the establishment of a meditation practice. The program combines Cognitve Behavioral Therapy and multiple modalities of mindfulness meditation. As in MBSR, at the end of the eight week series, particpants will have developed an individualized practice that best fits their own temperment.
Because this is a clinical program, participants will need to meet with Dr. Earnest indivudally for a screening interview before signing up for the group. Call or email Dr. Earnest for details.
